Madison Central will be hosting Drums Across the Bluegrass along with Southwind and Eastern Kentcuky University.
Given that most band camps start in mid-July, there will not be a better way to get your old students “chomping at the bit” or expose your new students to the nature of the activity than bringing your entire group to this show.
Advance tickets may be purchased through the Madison Central Band Boosters for $21.00 (reserve seating) or $15.00 (general admission). If you wish to bring students, or attend as a group, you may order a group package in advance through the Madison Central Band Boosters (15 or more tickets) By purchasing tickets this way, you will receive a substantial discount price of $18.00 for Reserved seating and $12.00 for general admission.
Simply make out your check or money order to “Madison Central Band Boosters” and mail to:

P.0. Box 616
Richmond, KY 40476 (not a typo-Richmond now has two zip codes!)
In addition, do not forget to specify to Jeff the individuals and/or groups to whom the tickets will be designated. All tickets will be mailed from the Southwind Organization and they have put a deadline of JUNE 15 for Advance Ticket Sales. IF you wish to qualify for this, please act fast! You can still buy tickets in advance from the Madison Central Band Boosters, BUT, you will not qualify for the advance discounts PLEASE ORDER EARLY!
Mr. Barton will be also be happy to take orders over the phone, BUT due to the way Southwind distributes tickets, their organization has to receive all money before June 15 for you to qualify for the advance group discount. Please feel free to contact Mr. Barton with any questions or orders.

It’s hard to believe that Summer is just around the corner!
Many band parents that I’ve spoken to this past month are already getting their Band Camps organized, continuing their fundraising efforts, and getting ready for another great competition season. More on page 48

The next Southeastern Color Guard Circuit meeting will be held at Brooks High School in Killen, AL on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00PM. If your Winter Guard or Indoor Percussion program paid SCGC membership dues for the 2008 season you are a voting member of the SCGC. If you are the director of a program interested in participating during winter of 2009 this meeting will be very informative for you as well. The June meeting serves as a place for members to voice concerns on how to improve the experience of everyone involved in the circuit. It offers those interested in becoming a member the chance to see how things work and more importantly provides a chance to get questions about starting a winter program answered. In our effort to continue to move forward and foster positive growth of winter programs in Kentucky, we need input/feedback on how to make the circuit even better for directors, show sponsors, spectators, and most importantly the students involved. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. If you have questions don’t hesitate to email me at DonnaNBama@aol.com or visit our website at www.scgconline.org
